The Apparel Export Park, Gundlapochampally was sanctioned by Govt. of India and State Government in the year 1998-99 under Apparel Park for Export Scheme (AEPs) to be established in 173.86 acres of land at Gundlapochampally in Rangareddy District with a total Project out lay of Rs.1408.14 lakhs comprising ofRs.657.68 lakhs from GOI and Rs.287.00 lakhs by State Government and Rs.463.46 lakhs from others.

The Park is under the administrative control of TSIIC. The Government with an initiation to make the park viable and to establish Fashion School at Gundlapochamapally has appointed Dr. N.J. Rajaram, as CEO to Apparel Export Park, Gundlapochampally.
